AThere have been many studies that said that the irresponsible production and consumption of footwear may lead to water scarcity and land erosion. The fact is there will always be some waste that cannot be prevented at the source.

Thus, Pijakbumi takes our recycling into account. To avoid the disposal of waste, we have worked together with stakeholders who can regulate and manage our post-production to post-consumption waste.

Our RE: BUMI program involves the reprocessing of the end-of-life Pijakbumi footwear parts, components, or materials into new recycled shoes (closed loop) and into different product categories (open loop).

Currently, 30% of Pijakbumi’s post-production waste and footwear is manageable and recycled. #SmallStepsMatter, the initiative continues to run by collaborating with brands and waste management who hold the same vision as us.

Join us and get involved in the process of collecting the waste and turning them into meaningful products.
